LUKE’S ARCADE / FREE BROWSER GAME
Apex Flow Hoops
A basketball game you play with one thumb. Pull back like a slingshot, watch the glowing arc lock onto the hoop, and let go in the green of the shot meter: your player jumps and shoots. A 30-level career in six arenas keeps making the basket harder to hit: it slides, rises, orbits and breathes; low gravity floats the ball; wind bends the arc; drones swat it out of the air; and finally there are two hoops, one of them gold and worth double. Sink the money ball at the end of every rack for double points. After the career, the endless gauntlet climbs toward round 100. Free, no download, no account.
How to play
- Touch anywhere and pull back, or drag upward to flick. The ball flies the opposite way to a pull, and the farther you pull the harder it goes. Pull left or right to aim left or right.
- A dotted arc shows where the ball will go. As you get close to a good shot the arc turns green and the hoop glows; dead centre turns it gold.
- Clean swishes, bank shots off the glass, long shots and perfect releases all score extra. Baskets on back-to-back shots build Heat, which multiplies your score and, once you are on fire, slows the clock.
- The shot meter next to the ball has a green window and a gold centre: release with the fill in the green and the shot goes in. Later levels shrink the window. You are told if you were short, long, left or right.
- Each rack of balls ends with a money ball worth double. Reach the star goals to unlock the next levels, and new balls with real advantages: a wider window, less wind, a softer rim, a triple-value money ball.
- On a computer: hold Space and let go in the green (the meter fills for a second), A and D to aim, R to restart; or drag with the mouse like a finger.
Modes
- Rush (the default): a countdown clock starts with your first shot. Every basket adds time, later worlds drain it faster, and a streak slows it. In the last ten seconds a big countdown appears and the screen turns red.
- Career: 30 levels in six arenas (the gym, rooftop, low-gravity sky court, storm court, drone arena, apex dome) with three stars each and a boss every fifth level.
- Gauntlet: endless rounds, three hearts, every round harder than the last, with a boss every fifth.
- Zen: no timer, just shooting.
- Daily: everyone gets the same sequence of shots, played against the clock, with a streak for playing each day.
